Visual Sound welcomes you back to Nashville for Summer NAMM 2008
After a four-year absence, the 2008 NAMM Summer Session (June 20-22) is returning to Nashville, TN – our “backyard” – and Visual Sound will be there!
Come by and visit Bob Weil and the entire gang of Visual Sound at Booth #911 at the Nashville Convention Center and check out the entire line of V2 Series pedals, the Visual Volume pedal, as well as our entire line of 1 SPOT adapters and power supplies.
Following a slow, but steady roll-out, the entire line of V2 Series is now out and rockin’ the music world! This exciting new line includes all-new and improved versions of the Jekyll & Hyde, Route 66 and H2O pedals, as well as a new dual-effect pedal – the Double Trouble.
The new V2 series also has a whole new line of single effect pedals!
Long requested by musicians, these pedals bring your favorite Visual Sound effects into single effect pedals: Son of Hyde (distortion channel from Jekyll & Hyde), Comp 66 (compressor from Route 66), Liquid Chorus (chorus from H2O) and the Route 808 (one channel of Double Trouble in a single pedal…our interpretation of the TS-808 but with a bass boost and lots more volume). As if that weren’t enough, there is also a new, original, single effect pedal – the Angry Fuzz, which will totally blow away any other fuzz pedal you’ve ever tried!
Been missing “Music City” these past few summers? Us, too! We hope to see you this year, back where Summer NAMM belongs.
Visual Sound at Dallas International Guitar Fest
The 31st Annual Dallas International Guitar Festival and MusicFest will be held Friday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Dallas Market Hall, and Visual Sound will be there!
Stop by Booth #155 and meet with Steve Mikesell and R.G. Keen and check out all the new V2 Series of pedals, along with the Visual Volume pedal and Workhorse Stallion amp.
If you’ve got your own guitar, great; if not, no problem! Steve and R.G. will be happy to let you “test drive” any and all of the pedals with a guitar they’ll have brought with them.
We hope to see you there!
Achtung, Baby! Visual Sound is coming to Musikmesse 2008
Sure signs of spring:
1.) Crocuses and daffodils popping out of the ground
2,) Swallows returning to Capistrano…
3.) …and, Visual Sound exhibiting at the Frankfurt Musikmesse!
Yes, that’s right; it’s that time of year again…Visual Sound will be at the 2008 Musikmesse, March 12-15, Hall 4.0, E-20. Last year, we were amongst 1,603 exhibitors from 48 countries and over 78,000 visitors – all records for Musikmesse activity!
So, stop by and say “gutentag” to Bob Weil and Zac Childs and check out all the exciting new V2 Series of pedals and the tried-and-true 1SPOT products.
We’ll be bracing for – and looking forward to – another busy show this year!
Visual Sound Wins Again At The GRAMMYS!
For the second year in a row, Visual Sound is a part of Music’s biggest night of the year.
Live on stage with Carrie Underwood’s band, Visual Sound could be heard ‘round the world. GRAMMY nominees Plain White T’s, and the double whammy of Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, who make up of the biggest tour in Country music right now, all use Visual Sound to push their sound over the edge!
Congratulations to all of our GRAMMY winners and nominees… and to all of you who make Visual Sound your choice!
Visual Sound at Winter NAMM Show 2008
Visual Sound will be at the Winter NAMM Show, January 17-20, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Come by and visit us at Booth #5721 to see – and hear -- the new V2 Series pedals: Jekyll & Hyde, Route 66, H2O and Double Trouble (dual effects pedals); Son of Hyde, Comp 66, Liquid Chorus, Route 808 and the Angry Fuzz (single effect pedals), as well as the 10th Anniversary edition of the Visual Volume pedal. As an added, special bonus: guitarist extraordinaire Tom Hemby will be playing and demonstrating all of the new pedals!
The theme of this year’s Winter NAMM Show is “Define Your Future”, so we hope to see you at Booth #5721 in the not-too-distant-future.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
All of us at Visual Sound would like to take a moment and wish one and all a blessed Christmas season and a terrific New Year.
We will be closing our offices from December 24th through January 1st.. We will hit the ground running on January 2nd and – literally – ‘leap’ into 2008!
The extra day that next year provides us will be a welcome one, as we’ve used as many days and hours as we could in 2007 in developing and keeping up with the explosivedemand on all of our products, most notably the V2 Series of effects pedals, which began to make their debut in late 2007 and will continue to roll out in the early part of 2008.
As in years past, we continue to be excited about the growth of Visual Sound, and are heartened by the ever-increasing amount of encouraging comments by friends and artists across the musical spectrum, as well as from all of our friends in the retail community. We could not do it without you! (We look forward, as well, as to seeing many of you again at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, from Jan. 17-20 – we’ll be at Booth #5721, in Hall B).
We also appreciate all your continued business, friendship and patience as we look to bring you the best effects pedals, power supplies and amplifiers available – “boutique products at mass-market prices”.
As our impressive list of musicians endorsing Visual Sound grew in quantity, quality and variety (see the Artists page), the first full year of our MySpace site was a huge hit – and in the four months since our first anniversary in late August, our number of first-time visitors has nearly doubled! If you haven’t visited it yet, or even recently, please do – and stay in touch with us there, as we are constantly adding new music clips and other content (both fun and informative).
Keep checking in at www.visualsound.net and www.MySpace.com/visualsoundusa to see what we’re up to!

Show Us Your Boards!
We are doing something new at Visual Sound and we want you to be a part of it!
It’s always great to know what your heroes use. For us, it’s an honor to have legends loving and using our gear… but, this company was started because Bob Weil (a regular guy who loves playing guitar) wanted something better than what was out there. Since then, Visual Sound has created some of the best darn gear anywhere on this planet, or any other planet for that matter, for anyone who loves to play guitar.
In keeping with that, we want to hear and SEE from you! We are adding a new section to our website and MySpace called, “Show Us Your BoardsS!” Visual Sound wants to celebrate YOU and all the time, energy and hard work that go into your contributions to the world of music. So…
If you would, send us pictures of your pedal boards with your Visual Sound gear on them and we will put them up for all to see on our Website and Myspace page. Around the world… we want to HEAR and SEE from YOU!!! Whether it is just a Jekyll & Hyde or the entire shootin’ match, send us pictures of them. We’re proud to be a part of your world and we want to include you in ours.
Also, if you happen to get pictures of your favorite artists and their boards with Visual Sound gear, that would be awesome, as well!
Send them either by email to Steven Bliss at bliss @ visualsound dot net, or by snail mail to:
Steven Bliss
Visual Sound
4922 Port Royal Rd. B-11
Spring Hill, TN 37174
Be sure to tell us who you are, the name of your band, and where you’re from. That way, we can say a little bit about you along with your set-up. Also, if you’d like to include any positive thoughts about your Visual Sound gear, we’d love to hear it!

Truly, An Urban Legend!
In the world of digital downloads and what must look like an asteroid hitting the dinosaurs of the record industry, there are few bright spots that stand out in the blackened skies of what’s left of the business we all knew as, “Music”.
One such star is Keith Urban and his Love, Pain, & the Whole Crazy Thing world tour. Not only is Keith’s genuineness heart felt… it’s HEARD! Ninety minutes of hit after hit, with a screen so big behind Keith and his band that shows every little detail -- so that you don’t just feel like an observer, you feel like you’re right on stage with them.
Not only is Visual Sound featured in the Tour Program (twice--see below), throughout the entire length of the show you see our pedals bigger than life on the screen. As cool as all that is, the best part is that Visual Sound’s 1-SPOT is the power supply for almost all of the pedal boards used on stage… including the extension stage where more than thirty minutes of music is played to the back of the house while the front gets a bird’s-eye view on the big screen. With an overhead camera capturing the entire stage, one continually sees Chris Rodriguez’ pedal board -- consisting of his H2O and Route 66 and many 1-SPOTs powering the whole ‘crazy’ thing!
Keith Urban is a legend… and behind every legend is the legendary power that drives the whole thing… Visual Sound is proud to not only be that power, but an integral part of the great guitar sounds that makes this tour a “MUST SEE” in 2007.

Workhorse™ Stallion and a 4x12 cabinet...awesome together!
We just tried out a Workhorse™ Stallion combined with a 4x12 cabinet and were absolutely blown away! For some unknown reason, we had never tried this before. The cabinet was wired for 8 Ohms (4 Ohms would be even louder!) and we simply plugged a cable into the external speaker jack of the Stallion to connect it to the 4x12. With the included Jekyll & Hyde pedal turned on, it had all the clarity and harmonic richness that the Stallion and Jekyll & Hyde normally have, but with the bass response and volume of a 4x12 added to it. The amp and cabinet combined gave us 6 Celestions breathing out truly inspiring tone. You gotta try it to believe it... it will blow your JCM800 off the stage!
