Not many people have had the distinct privilege of not only being admired by the likes of Chet Atkins, but Pat Bergeson was invited by Chet to move to Nashville and play on his album, Sneakin' Around, with Jerry Reed. Pat not only became Chet's protégé, but actually inspired Chet to greater heights himself. Pat says of his relationship with Chet, "Even ‘til the end of his life, we would get together at his house and sit and play for hours. He was a big kid every time he picked up his guitar." Along with playing with Chet, Pat was featured on some of Chet's recordings including Read My Licks, but Chet record some of Pat's songs. A versatile guitarist as well as chromatic and diatonic harmonica player, Pat Bergeson is known for his session work and touring with a variety of artists like Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Bill Frisell, Martin Taylor, Suzy Bogguss, Bill Evans, Peter Frampton, Michael McDonald

In 2001, Pat had the distinct honor of being named as one of Chet Atkins' top twelve favorite guitarists in the world in the October 2001 issue of Vintage Guitar magazine. And what does Pat use for gear...Visual Sound, of course! From Workhorse amps to both V2 and GarageTone effects pedals, Pat is a Visual Sound kind of guy. Visual Sound celebrates the great talents and career of Pat Bergeson.
