Pat Bergeson – Not many people have had the distinct privilege of not only being admired by someone of such stature as Chet Atkins, but also being invited to move to Nashville to play on Chet’s album, Sneakin' Around, with Jerry Reed. Pat not only became Chet’s protégé, but he actually inspired Chet to greater heights himself. A versatile guitarist as well as chromatic and diatonic harmonica player, Pat is known for his session work with a variety of artists, such as Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Bill Frisell, Martin Taylor, Suzy Bogguss, Bill Evans, Peter Frampton, Michael McDonald, and many others. Dan Dugmore – The list would stretch around the planet if one tried to name all the artists’ records and live performances that Dan has played on. A California native, Dan made his way through the LA music scene in the 70’s as a session player. That gig eventually led him to becoming a part of Linda Ronstadt’s band and playing on four of her biggest records. He also played on James Taylor’s JT and Flag and has toured with them both. He covered the LA albums of Andrew Gold, Pablo Cruise, Karla Bonoff, David Gates, Richie Furay, Michael Martin Murphey, the Pointer Sisters, J.D. Souther, and many others. In the 1980s, in addition to appearing on Ronstadt's Mad Love and Get Closer, and on Taylor's Dad Loves His Work, That's Why I'm Here, and Never Die Young, he played on albums by Engelbert Humperdinck, Bernadette Peters, Juice Newton, Stevie Nicks, and David Crosby. However, at the end of the 80’s, Dan moved his family and brought his talent to Nashville. The names are… well… everybody who is anybody and everyone else in between. Dan only uses the best equipment… and of course Visual Sound is there at his side everyday. Visual Sound is proud to be a part of Dan’s illustrious career and his incredible creativity.

Avril Lavigne – recently we got a call from guitarist Michael Chislett of the Butch Walker band asking us if we could bring some pedals to the Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville. Avril Lavigne’s guitarists Craig Wood and Devin Bronson wanted to check them out as they had heard Michael and Butch using our pedals. Michael wrote us a few days later saying, “I just jammed with the both of Avril’s guitarists with the pedals. Devin is real keen, and in fact, everyone is on all the pedals! They messed around with the Jekyll & Hyde in rehearsal and were blown away with the overdrive; as a matter of fact they retired their TS9 immediately. Let Bob know they’re huge fans.” Visual Sound is proud to have such creative and talented artists like Avril Lavigne and their guitarists impacting so many with their music as a part of our extended family. www.avrillavign.com

Junior Marvin – There are legends… many legends are ones that amount to nothing once you encounter them. Some are made up in the mind and are more mythological than real… but then there are the ones that prove what a true legend is all about. That’s the case with the amazingly talented and extremely humble guitarist and close friend of the late Bob Marley, Junior Marvin. Born in Jamaica and raised in London, Junior has been an actor in movies like The Beatles’ “HELP!” and the London production of “Hair” before siding up with Bob Marley and the Wailers in 1977. He is the sound of many great Reggae licks, from ‘One Love’ and ‘Jamming’, to ‘Stir It Up’. Junior is an innovator and legend in his own right. Recently Junior changed up his gear to Visual Sound. Sporting the all-new V2 Comp 66, Route 808 and H2O -- all powered by the 1SPOT --Junior fell in love with what he has wanted more than anything, true great tone! Though Visual Sound was not around in the days of Bob Marley and the Wailers, it’s our privilege to hear those great licks and incredible songs being played through pedals that are legends themselves. Gary
Morse – So
often when you think of effect pedals, you think of Rock music
first, and, of course… the guitar players that shape that
music. But in the world of Country Music there are those who are
heard but not known. One such player is the incomparable
Gary Morse. Known for his incredible pedal steel playing, as well
as his lap steel and dobro work, both in the studios of Nashville
and on the road, Gary works with the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Toby
Keith, Willie Nelson, hot shot Dierks
Bentley, Sara Evans and Dwight
Yoakum, as well a host of other great acts Country
music has to offer. Gary, being the gear-head that he is,
uses all three of the Visual Sound pedals
exclusively. Just recently Gary was in the studio with Toby
Keith & Willie Nelson playing
on a song they were doing together for Toby’s new CD. Both
Toby and Willie were impressed with how incredible Gary’s
sound was. He removed the pedals and showed the guys what a difference
the Route
66 and H20 actually made to his sound.
Gary said both Toby and Willie were so blown away that they wanted
to know all about the pedals. Gary is an advocate for Visual Sound
here in Nashville and in the many venues he plays in across
the globe. Check Gary out on his website at www.resophonicrecords.com |

OK Go – The three words that best describe Capitol Records recording artists OK Go are HOT, HOT, HOT! OK Go is a little something old and a whole lot of something new… with a HUGE twist. If you haven’t seen their video “Here It Goes Again”, then check it out on their website. It’s worth the watch. George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic - Holy Bootilicious P-Funk Man!… I hear a noise… Why it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no… it’s da Supacalafunkalicious Mother Ship Connection, takin’ over our radio… Ah, the 70’s and the crazy out-of-this-world music of George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and the massive, funky sounds of Parliament Funkadelic! Well, time has not changed the indomitable groove of George Clinton and his band of friends for the last 40 years! As a matter of fact, they’re as funky today as they were the first time the “Long Haired Sucker” took the stage all those years ago. Whether it be writing theme songs to Mike Meyers’ Austin Powers movies or just layin’ down the funk on stages around the world, George Clinton continues to beat the odds. As a part of his six, yes I said six, on-stage guitarists who have played with Parliament since the late 60’s in Philadelphia, Garry “Starchild” Shider (in a diaper and that’s about all) and Ricky Rouse (who has played on over 60 Platinum records) hold a groove that cannot be broken! Lead guitarist Noah Henson uses the Visual Volume and the Jekyll & Hyde as a part of his intense sound. Visual Sound is proud to be a part of helping Pillar rock the world. David Shankle – SHRED, SHRED, SHRED! In a world of classically-based music inspired by German Opera, the term shred came about through blistering licks that are not only fast, but technically challenging, as well. Among the best shredders known to man, David Shankle is one of the most respected and talented guitarists on the metal scene today. A former member of MANOWAR from 1988 to 1994, David has mastered many advanced guitar techniques, including his signature "over-the-neck" playing! In fact, David has refined this technique to the point that he plays over the neck faster than many guitarists play normally. David’s efforts and talents have caused to become a name synonymous with the term he proudly wears… Shred Demon! Earl Slick – LEGEND! That’s a good word to describe the awesome talent and career of the one and only Earl Slick. Legends look for others to help them become even more successful… and when you have legends like John Lennon and David Bowie seeking you out, well… a legend is what you become as a result. Earl took the place of a legend in Mick Ronson who was Bowie’s guitarist in the “Spiders from Mars”! And when Earl came in, David Bowie hit his most prolific run. Earl was the guitarist on songs that became legends as well like, “Fame” and “Golden Years” and Bowie’s incredible “Young Americans” record… and what would be Lennon’s last record, “Double Fantasy”! These days, Earl continues to shine as a pioneer in Rock music and has become a fan of Visual Sound and our V2 Series pedals, although Visual Sound has long been a fan of Earl. Switchfoot – A Band, a Mission, a Sound and a Vision… that is Switchfoot, one of the greatest crossover bands to ever come along! Starting out in Contemporary Christian Music in the mid 90’s, this San Diego band plowed a lot of ground with their first three records. But, it was their fourth LP, The Beautiful Letdown, that Switchfoot successfully took the leap they wanted and crossed over into the Pop Charts with “Dare You To Move” and “Meant To Live”. Jonathan Foreman wasn’t content there, as he wanted to continue to write songs and perfect their stage performance, which finds its heart and soul in the very meaning of the name Switchfoot. A surfer term, Jonathan puts it like this, “To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music". With songs in major Motion Pictures like “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” and hooking up with veteran British producer Tim Palmer (U2; The Cure), Switchfoot continues to break new ground both in the studio and in their incredible live shows. Using the V2 Series Jekyll & Hyde, Route 66, Route 808, and the ever steady 1 SPOT to power it all, Jonathan, Drew and Jerome get the most out of the new series of pedals from Visual Sound. We are excited to be a part of inspiring great sound and great music from Switchfoot. Learn more about Switchfoot at www.switchfoot.com/ or www.myspace.com/switchfoot |

U2 – A
while back Fraser McAllister, guitar tech for U2, called us saying
that The Edge, apparently, had heard great things about
the Jekyll
& Hyde and Route 66 pedals. He wanted to give them a test drive,
so we shipped them to Ireland and waited to hear the verdict. A week
later, Fraser called back to say that The Edge liked both pedals a
lot and was especially in love with the Route 66. He also said that
Daniel Lanois, U2's producer, loved the Route 66 pedal so much that
he wanted to know "would
it be OK if we bought another one?”
Was he kidding? Anyway… off went another Route 66 pedal to Ireland.
We have it on good standing that the pedals have become not only a
part of U2’s live show, but are also used in several places on
their Grammy Award winning CD’s! We here at Visual Sound are
honored that our pedals are being used all over the world by such a
class act as U2.
A reviewer on the Web recently posted the following: "Even
the player, The Edge, of U2 loves his Visual Sound pedals! I saw one
of the Visual Sound (H2O) pedals on top of the speaker cabinet behind
The Edge when he was playing on the Elevation 2001 U2 Live from Boston
DVD."
We didn't even know he was using an H2O, but we’re pleased he is! www.u2.com

Jimmy Vivino - In the world of late night television there are few orchestras that compliment their hosts as well as the Max Weinberg 7 does for Conan O’Brien. At the helm of this extraordinary ensemble is master musician, guitarist, arranger and producer, Jimmy Vivino. If it weren’t enough to do the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show five days a week, Jimmy is either playing on or producing major acts which run the gamut of musical genres. Included in that are Al Kooper's Rekooperators, Levon Helm, Phoebe Snow, Johnny Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Son Seals, and Shemekia Copeland. Or, he’s arranging horns and strings for Cissy Houston’s gospel albums. As busy as Jimmy is he always finds time to be a part of The Fab Faux with fellow late night television bassist, Will Lee, from The Late Show with David Letterman. Jimmy and Will are Beatle freaks and use their enormous talents to do unique renditions of Beatle songs worldwide. Jimmy absolutely loves his Visual Sound pedals. Recently he told us, “The only two pedals on my board that are not Visual Sound for the Conan Show are my volume pedal and my wah…” Well Jimmy, it won’t be long and we’ll fix that! Visual Sound is honored to share the stage with the amazing Jimmy Vivino. Learn more about Jimmy on his web site at www.jimmyvivino.com

Tal Wilkenfeld – In a world dominated by men, this 22 year-old phenom from “Down Under” is rockin’ the bass world and taking it by storm. And oh yeah, can you say, this phenom is a WOMAN? Not since the days of Carol Kaye has such an incredibly talented young woman stood so tall in the world of Fusion and Funk as Tal Wilkenfeld. She plays like she’s been playing for 30 years… poise, finesse, chops, and to top it all off… soul! Tal is a prodigy! Why? Because Tal has only been playing bass for 4 years! That’s right, 4 years! She tours with guitar legend Jeff Beck and has graced the stage with other legends such as Chick Corea and Hiram Bullock. If that’s not enough, Tal has just released her debut CD, “Transformation”. On it she writes, arranges, and produces, as well as plays bass. Though she doesn’t use many pedals, Tal has recently discovered the Visual Volume pedal. Along with fellow players Victor Wooten and Michael Rhodes, the Visual Volume is becoming “the choice” among some of the world’s premier bassists. Visual Sound loves to acknowledge great talent, and Tal Wilkenfeld is one whose time has come! Learn more about Tal at www.talwilkenfeld.com and www.myspace.com/talwilkenfeld
