Their CD is now in the top 5 selling records of all time in England, sitting alongside The Beatles’ Revolver. Guitarist Jamie Cook has all of Visual Sound’s pedals on his pedal board. Pat Bergeson – Not many people have had the distinct privilege of not only being admired by someone of such stature as Chet Atkins, but also being invited to move to Nashville to play on Chet’s album, Sneakin' Around, with Jerry Reed.  Pat not only became Chet’s protégé, but he actually inspired Chet to greater heights himself.  Pat says, “Even ‘til the end of Chet’s life, we would get together at his house and sit and play for hours.  He was a kid every time he picked up his guitar.”  Along with playing with Chet, Pat was featured on some of Chet’s recordings, including Read My Licks. In an industry that loves to fill its stars with delusions of grandeur and then watch them fizzle out, Bo has come through his crucible a better man. It is an honor for Visual Sound to become the almost exclusive gear of Bo and his guitarist Bart Walker (Bart being another legend in the making himself). Dan Dugmore – The list would stretch around the planet if one tried to name all the artists’ records and live performances that Dan has played on.  A California native, Dan made his way through the LA music scene in the 70’s as a session player.  That gig eventually led him to becoming a part of Linda Ronstadt’s band and playing on four of her biggest records.  He also played on James Taylor’s JT and Flag and has toured with them both.  He covered the LA albums of Andrew Gold, Pablo Cruise, Karla Bonoff, David Gates, Richie Furay, Michael Martin Murphey, the Pointer Sisters, J.D. Souther, and many others. In the 1980s, in addition to appearing on Ronstadt's Mad Love and Get Closer, and on Taylor's Dad Loves His Work, That's Why I'm Here, and Never Die Young, he played on albums by Engelbert Humperdinck, Bernadette Peters, Juice Newton, Stevie Nicks, and David Crosby. However, at the end of the 80’s, Dan moved his family and brought his talent to Nashville.  The names are… well… everybody who is anybody and everyone else in between.  Dan only uses the best equipment… and of course Visual Sound is there at his side everyday.  Visual Sound is proud to be a part of Dan’s illustrious career and his incredible creativity.

Visual Sound’s dear friend, Rob Espinosa, is the reigning guitarist, bringing his own unique style and history to this San Francisco group. Michael wrote us a few days later saying, “I just jammed with the both of Avril’s guitarists with the pedals. Devin is real keen, and in fact, everyone is on all the pedals! They messed around with the Jekyll & Hyde in rehearsal and were blown away with the overdrive; as a matter of fact they retired their TS9 immediately. Let Bob know they’re huge fans.” Visual Sound is proud to have such creative and talented artists like Avril Lavigne and their guitarists impacting so many with their music as a part of our extended family. www.avrillavign.com

Brent Mason – The epitome of what makes up the Nashville Sound is driven by the virtuosity and spontaneity of those who lock themselves away in studios and create out of nowhere the magic that defines the sound itself.  Among the hallowed halls of Country Music one name stands out over the last twenty years, the man that everyone has to imitate… Brent Mason.  From Alan Jackson to Brooks & Dunn, George Strait to Shania Twain and everyone in between, Brent has played for them all.  But Brent doesn’t just play guitar, he creates the licks and sounds that establish him as an innovator, not an imitator.  Whether it’s Country or Rock, Jazz or Swing, you name it, Brent is not only a Jack of Trades; he’s a Master of them all. Though Brent uses an assortment of pedals on his many different pedal boards, he now uses and loves his Visual Sound pedals.  Whether it’s the Visual Volume or the compression of the Route 66, to the lush chorus of the H20, or the crunch of Mr. Hyde, Brent Mason gets the most out of his Visual Sound gear. MetallicaMetallica – Not long ago we received a call from Metallica’s amp tech Chris Barnett, who said he had an H2O pedal owned by Metallica's Kirk Hammett that needed fixing. Somehow it had developed an unusual problem out on the road. We shipped a new one out immediately and Chris shipped the old one back. Kirk likes his H2O so much that he didn't want to be without it! www.metallica.com

Gary MorseGary Morse with Dwight YokumGary Morse – So often when you think of effect pedals, you think of Rock music first, and, of course… the guitar players that shape that music. But in the world of Country Music there are those who are heard but not known. One such player is the incomparable Gary Morse. Known for his incredible pedal steel playing, as well as his lap steel and dobro work, both in the studios of Nashville and on the road, Gary works with the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, hot shot Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans and Dwight Yoakum, as well a host of other great acts Country music has to offer. Gary, being the gear-head that he is, uses all three of the Visual Sound pedals exclusively. Just recently Gary was in the studio with Toby Keith & Willie Nelson playing on a song they were doing together for Toby’s new CD. Both Toby and Willie were impressed with how incredible Gary’s sound was. He removed the pedals and showed the guys what a difference the Route 66 and H20 actually made to his sound. Gary said both Toby and Willie were so blown away that they wanted to know all about the pedals. Gary is an advocate for Visual Sound here in Nashville and in the many venues he plays in across the globe. Check Gary out on his website at www.resophonicrecords.com

OK Go – The three words that best describe Capitol Records recording artists OK Go are HOT, HOT, HOT!  Rarely does an act come along that defies the status quo and forges its own path so that all anyone can do is marvel at such creativity.  The Beatles were such an act, and so is OK Go -- four guys in suits who create dances that coincide with their unique music and intellectually stimulating lyrics.  OK Go is a little something old and a whole lot of something new… with a HUGE twist.  If you haven’t seen their video “Here It Goes Again”, then check it out on their website.  It’s worth the watch. Visual Sound is proud to be a small part of this band’s large career.  We’re also excited that they use all our pedals -- what an honor! Visual Sound salutes the success of OK Go. George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic - Holy Bootilicious P-Funk Man!… I hear a noise… Why it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no… it’s da Supacalafunkalicious Mother Ship Connection, takin’ over our radio… Ah, the 70’s and the crazy out-of-this-world music of George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and the massive, funky sounds of Parliament Funkadelic! Well, time has not changed the indomitable groove of George Clinton and his band of friends for the last 40 years! As a matter of fact, they’re as funky today as they were the first time the “Long Haired Sucker” took the stage all those years ago. Whether it be writing theme songs to Mike Meyers’ Austin Powers movies or just layin’ down the funk on stages around the world, George Clinton continues to beat the odds. As a part of his six, yes I said six, on-stage guitarists who have played with Parliament since the late 60’s in Philadelphia, Garry “Starchild” Shider (in a diaper and that’s about all) and Ricky Rouse (who has played on over 60 Platinum records) hold a groove that cannot be broken! Visual Sound is privileged to be a part of the pedal boards of Garry and Ricky… both rely on the Jekyll & Hyde, as well as the Visual Volume, to create their funky sound. To learn more about Parliament, Garry, and Ricky go to www.myspace.com/gclinton; www.georgeclinton.com/site; www.WefunkRecords.com; www.myspace.com/garryshider and www.myspace.com/rickyrouseclub.

Pillar – The idea that Christian music has a sort of “sheepishness” to it has been something that has been said for many years, but Pillar redefines all that with an almost warrior-like approach to living life a different way. Their look, their sound and their songs reflect a genuine realism that drives to the heart, with musicianship and penmanship that shakes the stages that they play on. Lead guitarist Noah Henson uses the Visual Volume and the Jekyll & Hyde as a part of his intense sound. Visual Sound is proud to be a part of helping Pillar rock the world. Plain White T’s – Recently we had the pleasure of having Tim Lopez and Mike Retondo from Plain White T’s come to our offices in Spring Hill. (We have to say, two of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.) They got to test drive the new V2 series pedals and fell in love with them! Grabbing both a new Jekyll & Hyde and the 10th Anniversary Visual Volume pedal, Tim and Mike left happy guys. On tour with Fall Out Boy, and about to headline their own tour throughout the UK, Germany and Australia, Plain White T’s are smashing it up on the heels of their hot singles, “Hey There Delilah” and “Our Time Now”. Together for over ten years and a part of what has become the emerging “Chicago Beat” sound featuring acts like Fall Out Boy, OK Go, The Academy Is…, Lupe Fiasco and more; Plain White T’s snappy songwriting, great harmonies and driving sound make them one of America’s premiere musical groups. Michael Rhodes – In the world of Country Music it is common that the first instrument talked about would be guitar!  But in Nashville there are a number of players whose prowess are world renown… and not necessarily for guitar.  One such player is the mega-talented bassist, Michael Rhodes.  Let’s see, on whose records and stages have Michael’s talents been heard and seen?  How about: Clint Black, Brooks & Dunn, Michael Bolton, Glen Campbell, Larry Carlton, Johnny Cash, Peter Cetera, Kenny Chesney, Ashley Cleveland,  the Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Etta James, Alan Jackson, Reba, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rodgers, Hank Williams Jr., Trisha Yearwood…a complete list  would take up way too much space  to mention here.  So what does a lil’ ole Cajun boy from Monroe, Louisiana use to make himself sound real good?  Visual Sound… of course!  Michael uses the Visual Volume as well as the Route 808 and Liquid Chorus as a part of his pedal board.  Stay tuned here to learn more about the incomparable Michael Rhodes.
